NEW COURSES IMPROV THEATRE!

Drop in lessons - every Friday

Every Friday except king's night, holidays, summer break 20:00-22:00. Last lesson 11 July, first lesson 5 Sept 2025 Improv lessons for all levels. Experienced and first timers. We play fun games, you learn the principles of improv and you meet a group of fun and open minded people. Afterwards we go to O'Leary's pub. Buurtcentrum De Leeuw, entrance at Troelstralaan. You can come in with the others between 19:50-20:00h. Check at the sign up sheet if there is a lesson. Pay €10, €15, €20 or nothing, depending on your finances.

Improv in the park - Friday in summer

Friday evenings in summer when it's not raining. 19:30-21:30 A total self-organised gathering of improvisers of all levels, beginners welcome. There is no formal trainer, no formal lesson. We play fun games and you meet a group of fun and open minded people. Sign up (and off if your not coming). If there are less then 4 signups the event may get canceled. We have a whatsapp group "TS in the park". Bring your own drinks, snacks, plastic bag to sit on when it's wet. We meet between bus stop Kleine Singel and the skatepark. Fridays 18 July-29 August

Beginners Plus course Wed 10 Sep 18:45-20:30

More games, more improv principles! We will explore how the principles apply to new fun games: accept, yes and, leap into it, playfulness, enjoy failing. You will build stage confidence, improve your communication skills and mostly: have fun! For whom: people who know the basics (1 improv course) . Wednesdays 10 Sep – 3 Dec 2025 lessons 18:45-20:30. Beginners course Wed 10 Sep 20:35-22:20

Start with this Improv course and your life will definitely change for the better! You will learn the basic techniques and mindset of improvisation, through fun and easy games. You will explore playfulness, listening with intent, accept making mistakes, discover your imagination and creative thinking, build confidence, improve your communication skills and mostly: have fun! For whom: no theatre experience needed .

Intermediate course: On stage! - Tue 9 Sep 19:30

Take your improv performing skills to the next level! In this 12-week course, you’ll expand your improvisation toolbox with a variety of scene-based and short-form games that go deeper into storytelling, character work, and emotional truth. This course is designed for improvisers who already have stage experience and are ready to explore more nuanced and theatrical aspects of improv. Movement Improv - Thursdays 11 Sept 20:00

This is a course with a specific improv skill: "More than words, the body tells the story". We will do exercises from physical theatre, moving in the space, non verbal contact. Everyone can partcipate, you don't need any experience in theatre nor fluency in English. Suzan Lemont is a dance theatre maker, expressive arts therapist and educator. She has been practising and teaching movement improvisation, in one form or another for 40 years. Thursdays from 11 Sept - 30 Oct 8 lessons Buurtcentrum De Jager 20:00-22:00.

DROP IN LESSONS

Every Friday except school holidays 20:00-22:00h at Buurtcentrum De Leeuw. Bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes. Pay what you think it was worth. Suggestion €10-€20 We use the money to rent the room and pay our professional teachers. You are free to pay less if you don’t have much income. How to enter the building:
You can come in with the others between 19:50-20:00h. The entrance is this side entrace at the Troelstralaan.

Parking is free near Gisbert Bromlaan and further (10 min walking)
